Location: Hassan Abad, Taunsa Shareef, District Dera Ghazi Khan Completion Date: September 2024
Hassan Abad, situated at the foot of Koh-Suleman, is one of the most remote and resource-deprived areas in the region. The groundwater here has a TDS level of 2,000, making it unfit even for livestock, let alone human use. Frequent electricity outages made it nearly impossible to rely on conventional water filtration systems.
Raah-E-Emdaad Foundation® took the initiative to install a Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant, offering free access to safe drinking water to the entire population.
Key Benefits: Significant reduction in water-related health issues Technology: Reverse Osmosis water purification system Sustainability: Operating effectively for over 3 years with community engagement Population Impacted: 2,000+ residents
This project has become a symbol of hope and renewal, especially for families who had no access to clean water for generations.
