Location: Moza Maral, Near Khanqah Shareef, Bahawalpur Operational Since: 2021
In Moza Maral, a community of 500 households and approximately 2,000 people, the available groundwater was dangerously contaminated with TDS levels around 5,600—a figure well above WHO’s recommended limits. Children and the elderly were particularly vulnerable to water-borne diseases due to the poor quality of available water.
Raah-E-Emdaad Foundation® took the initiative to install a Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant, offering free access to safe drinking water to the entire population.
Key Benefits: Significant reduction in water-related health issues Technology: Reverse Osmosis water purification system Sustainability: Operating effectively for over 3 years with community engagement Population Impacted: 2,000+ residents
This project has become a symbol of hope and renewal, especially for families who had no access to clean water for generations.
